‘Hey, vote for me’: SGB candidates begin targeted campaigning

The elections committee permitted candidates for SGB board seats and president to begin targeted campaigning on Tuesday, which allows them to increase their presence across campus with buttons, t-shirts, chalk and more before election day on March 21.
Student Government Board’s elections and judicial committees each held hearings less than 24 hours before polls opened at 8 a.m. on March 2 after two complaints were filed against the Vision slate.

Vision slate disqualified from SGB elections after sleepless night of hearings

Two Student Government Board committees removed the Vision slate from Tuesday’s SGB elections ballot shortly before 6 a.m., about two hours before polls opened, saying its members violated campaign rules that merit their disqualification.
Pitt students will vote on Tuesday for next year’s Student Government Board positions. This year there are 15 candidates, with three presidential candidates and 12 board candidates, competing for one presidential position and eight board positions.
