Weekend Sports: Pitt volleyball, softball continue dominance while soccer teams stumble

Volleyball and softball led the way for Pitt sports over the weekend, picking up two wins each. The Panthers’ soccer teams, meanwhile, didn’t fare so well.

Volleyball picks up the slack for Pitt sports over weekend

While Pitt's soccer teams didn’t fare so well, volleyball picked up the slack by sweeping Virginia Tech for the Panthers' 13th straight win.
Pitt softball began its season Sunday afternoon with 8-1 and 5-3 victories in a doubleheader against Slippery Rock.
