Dr. John Williams, head of Pitt’s COVID-19 Medical Response Office, said Wednesday that with high vaccination numbers and the COVID-19 positivity rate at less than 1%, the University is in a “great place” for the start of the fall semester.
Pitt officials said Thursday that 87% of undergraduate students on the Oakland campus have uploaded proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

Pitt officials said Thursday that 87% of undergraduate students on the Oakland campus have uploaded proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Of undergraduates living on campus, 96% submitted proof, and 82% living off campus submitted proof.

Pitt announced Monday that it’s partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania to provide preschool-aged children of Pitt faculty, staff and graduate students an opportunity to enroll in a preschool program at two BGCWPA clubhouses.
The Oakland Planning and Development Corp. discussed various developments at its August meeting, including a stormwater management plan, Carnegie Mellon University’s Institutional Master Plan and UPMC’s proposal for a new bed tower on the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street.
