Dean Bonner posted a video on Monday about the “deeply concerning behavior” he observed on Saturday afternoon. Because of this, the CMRO is encouraging students who attended large gatherings to get COVID-19 tested this week.

Fecal matter fights cancer: UPMC researchers look to improve immunotherapy techniques

A group of more than 20 scientists at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute demonstrated a new way of advancing immunotherapy through fecal matter transplants.
Pitt Hillel and Resident Student Association hosted the first of a four-part town hall series Sunday evening, with this week’s conversation revolving around a Q&A session with local Jewish activists.

Hillel and RSA hosted the first of the four-part town hall series Sunday evening. About 60 people attended the Q&A session with local Jewish activists which focused on historical and modern anti-Semitism. People could submit their questions before the panel, or through a chat feature during the zoom call.
The gender, sexuality and women’s studies department, in collaboration with a number of departments and faculty members, created the Gender and Science Initiative in 2019 to link GSWS studies with the hard sciences. Directed by GSWS lecturer Bridget Keown, this initiative includes gender and science courses as well as extracurricular programming.
