Humans of Pitt is back and plans to be better than ever

At Pitt, with its nearly 20,000 undergraduate students, it can be hard for incoming students to find their footing in the masses. Humans of Pitt was a club on campus that told the stories of the individuals within those masses — until it took an unexpected hiatus last year.
Jules Gill-Peterson, an assistant professor of English and gender, sexualtiy and women’s studies at Pitt, is the author of “Histories of the Transgender Child.”

Three hundred Pitt and CMU students alike prayed, danced and ate at a celebration hosted by the Pitt Hindu Students Council on Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to honor Navaratri, an Indian festival which takes place for nine days every autumn.
