The Panthers scored all the points they would need in the first half, taking a commanding 33-7 lead thanks to three total touchdowns from sophomore quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Annual bonfire bolsters Pitt pride

Whether it’s a small flame flickering in a lantern held by a first-year student at lantern night or a roaring bonfire lighting up the Cathedral Lawn, both these traditions are cornerstones of the Pitt experience. Last night’s annual bonfire and pep rally, sponsored by Pitt Program Council, is one of those traditions — one which Pitt students await to kick off the year ahead.

Thriftsburgh returns to save students money

Thriftsburgh, which sells tees for $3, jeans for $5 and winter coats for $10 regardless of the clothing brand, branched into household appliances for its third annual Rummage Sale on Sunday afternoon in the O’Hara parking lot. Hundreds of students lined up around the block to buy secondhand microwaves, silverware and plastic drawers, netting the group more than $5,500 in profits.

Lantern night shines a light on women’s education

Women at Pitt first began celebrating Lantern Night, the oldest tradition at Pitt, in 1920. This year, at the 98th annual celebration, alumnae passed the "light of learning" to first-year women.

QC Pitt brings magic to campus Muggles
