SGB unveils Town Hall to reach students

SGB hosts bi-annual Safety Fair

SGB approves $28.5k for Black Action Society in contested allocation vote

After listening to Augustin, Mercer proposed amending the allocation from the Allocation Committee’s recommendation. The new allocation was passed — instead of denying the Black Action Society’s request in full, the board approved all $28,500.

Campus grocery store on the menu at SGB kickoff meeting

Board member Albert Tanjaya made a notable announcement about his focus for the semester. Along with improving the user accessibility of Saferider, the late-night transportation service available to students in Oakland, Tanjaya is looking to help the grocery store installation to Pitt’s campus.

Pitt Board approves budgets for 2018-19 school year

Pitt received $4.4 million more from Pennsylvania than in 2017. “The vast majority of in-state students” will not face a tuition increase, according to Chancellor Gallagher. Out-of-state, engineering and graduate students face an increase.
