Pitt junior defensive end Dayon Hayes arrested, charged with simple assault

Pitt junior defensive end Dayon Hayes has been charged with one count of simple assault following a violent dispute with his girlfriend. Head coach Pat Narduzzi said that any disciplinary action from the team “will remain a private matter.”

Pitt football falls to Tar Heels 42-24, dropping third conference game

Pitt (4-4, 1-3) fell to North Carolina (7-1, 4-0) 42-24. The Panthers performance encapsulated their entire season up to this point. In the first half, they showed promise and put together a balanced half of football — showing potential. But Pitt once again couldn’t put together a complete game when they needed it most.
