Pitt men’s basketball went out with a whimper Tuesday afternoon. The team closed its 2021-22 campaign with a 66-46 loss to Boston College in the ACC Tournament’s opening game — a contest that was over long before the clock ran out.

Hurricanes roll over Pitt, 85-64, in penultimate Panthers home game

Miami stormed into Pittsburgh and dismantled Pitt on both ends — to the tune of 20 turnovers, 55% shooting for the game and a 21-point road victory that was not even as close as the lopsided final score would indicate.

Second half surge lifts Pitt over NC State, 71-69, for first time since 2014

Jeff Capel said Saturday that there are “so many ways to lose” in college basketball. Pitt explored many of those ways, but made enough timely plays to escape with a 71-69 win over NC State — its first against the Wolfpack since 2014.

One of the highest honors that a college basketball walk-on can earn is, ironically, ceasing to be a walk-on. Onye Ezeakudo did just that last week — the highlight of a career at Pitt where he’s achieved what few walk-ons are able to.

Loewe’s put-back stuns Panthers in 54-53 loss to Minnesota

Luke Loewe scored just two points on Tuesday night against Pitt, but they were the biggest of the game. Minnesota, despite trailing for most of the evening, stole a 54-53 win from the Panthers in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge.
