‘Every step of the way’: Office of Veteran Services helps veteran students transition into civilian life

Pitt veterans paint masks, share stories to spotlight mental health

To celebrate this year’s Veterans Week at Pitt, the Office of Veteran Services led “Pitt Warriors: Our Stories,” an art exhibition that showcases the lives of student veterans and bolsters conversations surrounding veterans’ mental health.

‘Set me up to succeed’: Veterans talk transition from military service to studies

Many students — both traditional and non-traditional — come to Pitt after or while serving in the military. Although the transition from serving in the military to being a student can be difficult, many students excel in their studies at Pitt.
