Column | Pitt should retire Pickett’s number — just not right now

Pickett’s accomplishments put an arguably irrelevant Pitt football program back into the national spotlight for the first time in decades. With all the success Pickett had throughout his tenure at Pitt, it seems obvious that the program would retire his number, eight, in honor of this legend, right?

Former Pitt football stars put on strong showing at 2022 Senior Bowl

February marks the end of the NFL’s season and the beginning of draft season. NFL prospects — including three former Panthers — competed in last week’s Senior Bowl practices and game, hoping to increase their stocks in the upcoming NFL Draft.

ACC names Pickett as offensive, overall Player of the Year
