Just a few years after Market Central officially became The Eatery, Pitt’s largest dining hall will undergo another significant rebrand — this time, of the actual dining space.

Student Government Board plans to raise student leader stipends funded by “unused” funds from the student activities fee, according to SGB President Danielle Floyd.

Representatives from Pitt Dining made an appearance at SGB’s Tuesday evening meeting for a Q&A, where the team addressed concerns about meal plans and shared future dining plans.

Walking into the dining halls this semester, Pitt students can find Pitt Eats staff using four large glass machines flourishing with herbs. These transparent fridge-like structures represent the next step toward a more sustainable campus.

Oakland is about to get a lot smokier this fall semester. Pitt student’s meal options have recently expanded to include a brand new food truck, Smokeland BBQ, boasting freshly made and locally sourced barbecue.
