With nearly 700 student organizations, Pitt features clubs that serve a variety of interests, from writing letters as random acts of kindness to visiting immigrant-owned restaurants around Pittsburgh.

Amid a crackdown on Oakland parties and the student organizations hosting them, some groups are holding themselves to a higher standard. John Altvater, the vice president of recruitment for the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity, said his chapter has closely followed COVID-19 health rules and encourages all Greek life chapters and other organizations to follow them.

Finishing off Pitt’s Greek Week, Greek Sing 2019 brought a large crowd to the field house. The event is held annually as a spirit event for Pitt’s Greek life, but also as a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network.
