Long-term Pitt construction plan approved by City

The City of Pittsburgh approved Pitt’s Institutional Master Plan late last month, giving its seal of approval to the University’s construction roadmap for the next 10 to 25 years.
Pitt is looking to build a hotel and conference center in what is currently a parking lot next to the University Club and Thackeray Hall.

Up ahead in the distance on Fifth Avenue, Pitt students may soon look up and see a shimmering light — a University-owed hotel and conference center may soon come to sit across from Litchfield Towers.
Building projects outlined in the Campus Master Plan are scheduled for completion over the next three decades.
