“Appropriate,” written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, an American playwright and MacArthur Fellow, and directed by Ricardo Vila-Roger, a professor in Pitt’s Department of Theatre Arts, will premiere Thursday at 8 p.m. and continue through March 1.
Directed by Andrea Gunoe, a fifth-year Ph.D. student in theater arts, and written by playwright Susan Glaspell, “The Verge” will run from Feb. 6 to Feb. 16 at the Charity Randall Theater.

Review: “Flyin’ West” soars to a standing ovation

The Pitt theatre arts department told a story beautifully on Wednesday night, showing that “Flyin’ West” really is a journey of flying “as free as a bird” from the oppressive South to the open prairies of the West.
