Staff Council discusses flexible work model, regional campuses

Pitt will transition from its current incremental budget process to a new model called Budget ReSTART in fiscal year 2023, which begins July 1. But some shared governance leaders have concerns about the process used to develop the new budget model.
Pitt’s Staff Council met Wednesday over Zoom to vote on the Staff Emergency Fund proposal and hear from speakers from All of Us Research Program, Pitt’s United Way Campaign and the Office of Human Resources.

Pitt’s Staff Council met Wednesday over Zoom to hear presentations from All of Us, the United Way campaign and HR. The council also met to vote on the Staff Emergency Fund proposal, which would offer financial support to staff going through hardships.

Pitt is considering providing all employees with one mask, and students with two, which must be worn when and where the University asks, officials said Wednesday.
