Pitt bioengineer receives $2.2 million grant from National Institute of Health

Lance Davidson recently received a $2.2 million Method to Extend Research in Time award from the NIH for his research on morphogenesis, the biological process where cells, tissues and organs develop. His research uses frog embryos and studies the biochemical processes involved in morphogenesis.

The Swanson School of Engineering received received a commitment for a donation that could exceed $10 million on Wednesday from an anonymous Pitt engineering alumnus and his wife to financially support underrepresented undergraduate students in the Pitt EXCEL program.
