NLRB to mail union ballots for Amos Hall Starbucks, tally results on May 6

The National Labor Relations Board will mail ballots this Thursday to Starbucks employees deciding whether to unionize the coffee chain’s Amos Hall location on Pitt’s campus. The board will then count the ballots on May 6.

‘Striving for a collective goodness’: Pitt students observe Ramadan

Ramadan, the ninth and holiest month of the Islamic calendar, is observed through a 30-day period of fasting from dawn until dusk. Pitt’s Muslim Student Association runs twice-weekly iftars at sundown, which are the meals held each evening to mark the end of the daily fast.
