Pitt added 54 new COVID-19 cases, composed of 51 students and three employees, between Tuesday and Thursday, with 92 students currently in isolation. Student Health Service is open Saturday for COVID-19 testing.

Pitt added 50 new COVID-19 cases, composed of 42 students and eight employees, between Tuesday and Thursday, with 71 students currently in isolation. Pitt will institute a University-wide shelter in place on April 16 before in-person commencement.
After Pitt experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases after St. Patrick’s Day parties, Dr. John Williams, the head of the COVID-19 Medical Response Office, presented a more optimistic picture of Pitt’s pandemic outlook Thursday afternoon.
