‘Just doing our jobs’: Student building concierges enforce COVID-19 rules, with occasional backlash

Pitt employs about 260 students as building safety concierges, who sit by building entrances and ensuring that students sign in and follow proper safety procedures, such as wearing masks.
Pitt’s CoVax Vaccination Center — located at the bottom of Nordenberg Hall — recently expanded its hours to daily operations, and will offer flu shots starting next Wednesday.
