Following Pitt basketball’s disappointing 2021-22 campaign, many Panther fans called for the program to move on from head coach Jeff Capel. But now, as the Panthers are on the brink of appearing in the NCAA tournament, it’s clear Panther fans were wrong about Capel.

Panthers fall to Hurricanes at the buzzer, finish fifth in the ACC

Pitt men’s basketball fell just short of an ACC regular season title, losing to the Miami Hurricanes 78-76 in the final game of the regular season. The loss moved the Panthers from the No. 1 seed to the No. 5 seed in the ACC tournament.

Pitt men’s basketball enters AP top 25 for the first time since 2016
