Carnegie Music Hall reopens after eight month renovation

Andrew Carnegie’s “greatest gift to Pittsburgh,” the Carnegie Music Hall of Oakland, is just steps away from Pitt’s campus and has recently reopened after renovations to replace seats, add air conditioning and to make the space compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Pitt looks to renovate student programming spaces, including William Pitt Union

The University of Pittsburgh has hired WTW Architects to conduct a study with the long-term goal of renovating its student unions.
The Properties and Facilities Committee met last Thursday to discuss resolutions to construct new buildings on the Greensburg and Bradford campuses and improvements to an Oakland campus building.

The Properties and Facilities Committee of Pitt’s Board of Trustees held a public meeting last Thursday to discuss resolutions to construct two new branch campus buildings, as well as improvements to an Oakland campus building.
According to a petition, the houses at 3401-3421 Bates St. and 392 Coltart Ave. near Boulevard of the Allies are a “public nuisance” due to their dilapidated and uninhabited state.
