Panthers surrender late lead in 67-65 loss to Syracuse

Pitt women’s basketball lost its annual Pink the Pete game Sunday afternoon to Syracuse. After leading by as many as 13 points in the first half, it lost 67-65 to the Orange at the Pete.

Panthers fall to short-handed Syracuse on the road, 80-72

Syracuse didn’t have to go deep into its bench to beat Pitt on Sunday afternoon. The Orange used just six players, but their hot shooting carried them past the Panthers for an 80-72 win at the Carrier Dome.

Hot-shooting second half pushes Pitt past Orange, 64-53

For the first 20 minutes on Tuesday night, Pitt seemed destined for another dismal offensive performance and subsequent loss. But in a tale of two halves, the Panthers downed rival Syracuse, 64-53, behind some hot shooting in the second half.

Pitt Volleyball sweeps weekend doubleheader

No. 3 Pitt volleyball continued its recent string of dominance against ACC foes, sweeping both Syracuse and Boston College over the weekend. Since their second loss of the season on Oct. 24, the Panthers have yet to drop a set in four matches.
Pitt women’s basketball qualified as the No. 15 seed of 15 teams in the ACC Tournament. The Panthers play their first tournament game on Wednesday.
