Port Authority bus driver pleads guilty to involuntary manslaughter in student’s death

The Port Authority bus driver who fatally struck a Pitt student last year pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person on Monday. The driver will serve three years of probation.

More than 300 students have received code of conduct violations for breaking COVID-19 mitigation protocols this semester, according to Vice Provost and Dean of Students Kenyon Bonner.

A water line broke this morning at around 5:30 a.m. at the corner of Roberto Clemente Drive and South Bouquet Street and water access was restored to all affected buildings at around 8:45 p.m.
