On June 16, my friend and I took a trip back to Pittsburgh to hang out with some friends and have a good time. We missed the city dearly and knew that this was a good time to visit before we moved into our apartment in August. The beginning of a semester leaves students trying to figure out how to transition back into school mode. Practicing some self-care before the semester gets challenging is helpful 一 and Pittsburgh offers so many fun ways to spend the day before the semester stress kicks in.

“Welsfest” — a late August block party on Oakland’s Welsford Street — was not just the talk of the town for Pitt students. Oakland community members shared their takes at a community meeting on the block party, which had more than 1,000 Pitt students in attendance.
The average college student shouldn’t have any problems climbing the stairs to the third floor of the Cathedral.
