Rachael Lippincott, recent Pitt alumna, has been on the The New York Times’ best-seller young-adult hardcover list for the past 11 weeks because of her novel adaptation of the movie “Five Feet Apart.”
The School of Medicine’s 2016 study “The Association between Social Media Use and Eating Concerns among U.S. Young Adults” indicates a positive association between social media use and eating concerns in young adults.

Pitt study links social media and eating disorders

A recent research study by the University of Pittsburgh titled “Greater social media use tied to higher risk of eating, body image concerns,” reveals that the rise in eating disorders, particularly body image concerns and anorexia, are linked to a higher use of social media sites.

Over this past weekend, construction began on the sidewalks parallel to Forbes Avenue near the sky bridge. This progresses the effort from Pitt to create a crosswalk on Forbes outside of David Lawrence Hall.
