The end of August marks the start of on-campus move in and Welcome Week, with move-in times scheduled throughout the entire week of August 21.

Students find problems with added COVID-19 testing, move-in procedures

The University required all unvaccinated and vaccinated students to submit a negative COVID-19 test as part of spring move-in procedures. But many students found problems with using the Pitt-provided Quest tests.
Pitt said roughly 4,800 students have moved into University housing for the spring semester as of Monday. These residents were grouped into one of four move-in dates — Jan. 29, Jan. 31, last Wednesday or last Friday.

Students move back to campus, compliment at-home COVID-19 testing

About 4,800 students have moved into “University-managed” housing for the spring semester as of Monday, according to University spokesperson Kevin Zwick. The residents were grouped into one of four move-in dates — Jan. 29, Jan. 31, last Wednesday or last Friday.
The University-wide shelter-in-place period ended as of 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. 

Pitt releases late January, early February move-in groups

Pitt students living on campus can plan to move into their dorms beginning in late January, according to a Wednesday afternoon email from Pitt’s COVID Medical Response Office. Residents are grouped into one of four move-in dates — Jan. 29, Jan. 31, Feb. 3 or Feb. 5 — per the latest CMRO guidance.

Pitt launches direct-to-dorm shipping program for fall move-in
