Martha Layne is an Assistant News Editor at The Pitt News. A Pittsburgh (Pine-Richland) native, she plans to graduate in April 2022 with degrees in Finance and Accounting and minors in Economics and English Literature. She joined the news staff as a staff writer in May 2019, was promoted to a senior staff writer in April 2020 and has been an Assistant News Editor since August 2020.
